PROFESSOR ALLEN AZIBA-ODUMONSI AGIH
Born on the 22nd of August, 1967 just at the break of the Nigerian Civil War in the serene Otuabula II community of Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, Professor Aziba-odumomsi Agih first ventured into the academic world at the State School Otuabula II, in 1982 to obtain his FSLC.
He later proceeded to Government Secondary School, Ogbia Town for a period of one year before moving to Government Secondary School, Anyama-Ogbia. It was at Community Secondary School, Akakumama, Okoroma in 1988 he obtained his West Africa School Certificate.
He progressed to the Rivers State College of Education, Port Harcourt and obtained a National Certificate of Education in Political Science/Social Studies in 1993 and a Bachelor of Education Degree in Political Science in the year 1995.
As a result of his affinity for education, he went further to procure a Masters degree in Educational Management in the year 2000 and a Doctorate degree in the same field in the 2009 both from the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Upon the acquisition of tertiary Education, the Professor worked as a Senior Tutor in the College of Education Demonstration Secondary School, Ndele, Rivers State and later as a Senior Staff at First Bank Plc.
He became a career academic University administrator with vast industry experience, focused with innovative abilities and equally a passionate and goal-oriented personality with sufficient emotional intelligent skills.
He is a resourceful and committed to result attainment with belief in excellence and strong moral values.
Also, he is an intelligent, team player with exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills who is always willing to learn new skills and take on new challenges, with appreciable level of computer literacy, he is knowledgeable with the processes of transforming ideas into reality.
A preacher of fate who believes that the limits a man has are only those he puts on himself.
Thereafter, he began his career in the university system as an Assistant Lecturer and rose through the ranks to his current position as Vice Chancellor of Niger Delta University, Wilberforce Island, Bayelsa State.
Until his current position as Vice-Chancellor, Niger Delta University, he has served in various capacities as the University Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Niger Delta University , Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Niger Delta University, Director, Directorate of Advancement and Linkages Centre, Niger Delta University; Acting Director, Directorate of Advancement and Linkages Centre, Niger Delta University; Acting Head, Department of Educational Foundations, Niger Delta University ; Male Hall Warden, Block A& G, Lulu Briggs ; Member, Faculty of Education Disciplinary Committee, 2004-2006;

Professor has written and published various articles.
His hobbies include, Reading and writing, travelling, cooking, church/humanitarian work, sports (Table/lawn tennis) and attending educative programmes.
He is married to Dr (Mrs.) Mary Allen-Agih, and the union is blessed with a son.
