    Mission/Vision

    Introduction

    The University Library was established in the 2001/2002 academic session. Presently the Niger Delta University Library is housed in a state of the art building and has the capacity to seat two thousand (2,000) students. The library collection stand at ninety seven thousand five hundred and fifty (97,550.00).
    In addition to the Main Library the University has College of Health Sciences and nine (9) faculty libraries.

    To promote a culture of broad inquiry and support the university’s mission through discovery, preservation, and dissemination of knowledge and creative expression for the benefit of the university community and social cultural and economic well-being of mankind.

     

    Services by provided by the Library
    Internet services
    The NDU Library provides free internet services to all its community members. The Internet Service can be accessed from within the Library complex.Reader services
    The Reader Services serves the University community, alongside researchers and the general public. All readers are welcome to consult Library materials in the reading room, during our regular opening hours.

    Current Awareness Services (CAS)
    The aim of the Current-Awareness Service is to inform our users about new acquisitions and collections in the Niger Delta University Library. The Current Awareness Service is run through a variety of our platfroms like Billboards, Notices and our Social Media presence.

    Bindery and Reprography Services
    The following services are offered in the Reprographic Services Unit of Niger Delta University Library. Printing, Photocopying, Laminating and Scanning. The Bindery services include repairs of old and worn out books, binding of theses, projects and dissertations.
