Programme Objectives
The central objectives of all the academic programmes in the Faculty of Management Sciences are to: Conduct and promote research and scholarship in the field of management in order to enhance the effective and efficient development of the different sectors of the Nigerian Economy.Produce graduates who are specialist in different fields of Management, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Marketing, Insurance and Office Management Technology, who will be able to creditably occupy managerial positions in both the private and public sectors in Nigerian Economy.Operate within the frame work of an integrated Management sciences Curriculum in order to foster inter-disciplinary exchange and sharing of knowledge, and to foster better fellowship and understanding among the various ethnic groups in Nigeria to ensure peace and harmony so fundamental to sustainable development. The Faculty is headed by a Dean, who is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor, for the day-to-day running of the Faculty. All academic matters are processed at the Departmental level, and where the need arises, are presented at meetings of the Faculty Board, from where submissions are made to senate. The Registry is fully represented in the Faculty by a Faculty Officer.
