Admission Requirements

General Requirements for Preliminary Admission

To be considered for admission into the Pre-degree and Basic Studies programme, candidates should

  • Have five credit pass in not more than two sittings in any of the following examinations;
    • General Certificate of Education (GCE) Ordinary Level Examination
    • West African School Certificate Examination (WASCE),
    • National Examination Council (NECO),
    • National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) or their equivalents
  • Meet the various departmental registration requirements as shown below

 English Language, Mathematics and any other three subjects relevant to the option of choice, especially in Social Science or Management Science (e.g. Principles of Accounts, Economies/Commerce, insurance, store keeping etc.
7 Social Science

  4. Sociology
 English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and any other two Arts or Social Sciences subjects.
8 Law Public/Private Law and Jurisprudence English, Christian Religious Knowledge/History and any other two Arts or Social Science subjects.

How to apply

Applications are invited from qualified candidates for admission to the Niger Delta
University, Predegree and Basic Studies Programmes for the 2024/2025 Academic Year.
Method of Application:

Sale and submission of forms ended on August 30th, 2024.

  2. Ensure you provide two valid and working GSM Phone numbers. You will be contacted through these numbers
  3. Ensure you cross check and preview the information filled in
  4. Print out the completed application form.
  5. The application closes August 30th, 2024
